This striking houseplant is called Codiaeum Petra, but is better known as Croton. This plant originally comes from India and Indonesia. You can recognize the plant by its brightly colored leaves in red, yellow, green, orange and purple. The best location for the Croton is a bright spot, without direct sunlight. A ray of direct light won't hurt, but avoid bright midday sun. Make sure that the potting soil always feels slightly moist. In summer you can give the plant a little water twice a week.
